i have no idea what to say on this topic other than i have been mulling over it for a few days. i personally dont think He did, but i am not quite convinced He would have been opposed to it. in todays day and age i think it would be respecting the government issue but that might just be me. p.s. chris either post that poem or send it to me cause i want to hear it and you peaced it out of van-city before i had a chance to!
i like the words of cs lewis when it comes to some of this "what would jesus do" rhetoric. if jesus would have an opinion about this, i would think it would be captured somewhere in this thought:
"An individual Christian may see fit to give up all sorts of things for special reasons–marriage, or meat, or beer, or the cinema; but the moment he starts saying the things are bad in themselves, or looking down his nose at other people who do use them, he has taken the wrong turning."
sex isn't bad if it's gone about the way God intended. if you just say "it's natural" and have sex outside of marriage, the fact that it's natural doesn't make it any more in-line with God's will. maybe not the best comparison but just challenging your "it's natural" line of thought...
why's that?
ReplyDeleteBecause it's natural and the middle-eastern social culture is really big on smoking.
ReplyDeletesex is natural too.
ReplyDeletehaha. i don't know, did they smoke pot back then?
its natural? What does that mean?
ReplyDeleteAre you the "I'm a Christian..sorry", Chris Tse?
ReplyDeleteGrace & peace.
J
Yeah, this is he. Who're you?
ReplyDeleteAre you implying that sex is bad, Matthew?
